- Coop Statement on Consumer Reports Dark Chocolate Study
The Coop is aware of a recent Consumer Reports study that found high levels of lead and cadmium in some dark chocolate bars that the Coop carries. The Coop also carries a number of the brands listed as "safer choices" in the Consumer Report study. These items have not been recalled by the FDA and the Coop isn't currently removing them from our shelves at this time. We are in contact with both National Cooperative Grocers and relevant chocolate suppliers and will share updates as they are available. In the meantime, we recommend that members read the Consumer Reports study to learn more. Pregnant people and children may want to avoid dark chocolate and products containing cocoa powder. - Agenda Committee Looking for Members
The Agenda Committee is seeking new members! The Committee’s work is scheduling the agenda for the monthly General Meeting, and it meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. over Zoom. Read more → - Second Location Study Report
The Second Location Committee presented its report and findings at the November 29th General Meeting and answered questions from the members. Read more → - Current Operational and Safety Procedures
