February GM Reminder and BOD Candidate Submission Deadline Approaching!

General Meeting

The Coop’s next General Meeting (GM) is on Tuesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Come to hear a report from the Treasurer on the Coop’s preliminary 52-week financial statement, reports from the General Coordinators on Coop operations, Committee reports, and to make your voice heard in the Coop’s democratic governance system. There is one voting item on the February agenda.

  • To participate in and vote at the February GM, you must register by 5:00 pm on Tue., Feb. 22.
  • Members who pre-register, and are eligible to attend, will receive an email with the Zoom invite on Feb. 22 after 5:00 pm.
  • Get prepared by reading the GM agenda and preliminary 52-week Financial Statement
  • Read the draft minutes from the January 2022 GM

We strongly encourage you to make time to attend the February GM. Attendance at the General Meeting has fallen considerably compared to pre-pandemic attendance despite greater availability made possible by the online format. Your participation in our governance process is one of the three important aspects to our member-labor participatory model. The GM is where you get to discuss and vote on important proposals and also to hear directly from the staff about the finances and operations of your Coop. Please come out on Feb. 22 to virtually engage with your Coop community.

The February 7 issue of the Linewaiters’ Gazette is available to read. The Gazette is written, edited, illustrated, and designed by your fellow Coop members, and is published on a bi-weekly schedule. The Gazette is a rich resource for our Coop community and provides in-depth articles on many aspects of the Coop, features on members and Coop vendors, recipes, and much more. In addition, any member can write a Letter to the Editor or submit a member article. See the Gazette for information about member submission guidelines and deadlines.
